Vertex Illumina Club

Couple of questions:

1. Is the 4ft SR260 exactly 4ft long.

No, it is about 1" or so longer.

2. I'm planning on resting the fixture on top of my wood canopy, does it get hot on the ends?

Ends are warm to the touch but the rest of the fixture is hot but still can touch without problem.

My 4ft 260 fixture never gets hot ever. Blues and royal blues are like 95% whites like 50% reds 10%.

The ends are the coldest part of the fixture

Thanks guys, I ordered one today. It will be going on a 10 year old reef, which is currently housed in a 75 gallon tank. This reef has always been under PCs. For the last 8 years I've been running four 96 watt bulbs with reflectors. I'm looking forward to finally being able to grow acros and T. Maximas. I'll post before and after pics over the next few weeks.

Cheers ,

I doubt they be making this public! but I think this is good enough UV and Red covers the whole range they also have RB modules.
On their FB page they had pics from Interzoo with green/red AUX but for me the green is useless. most of our club guys that have Radion don't use the green much but not sure why they drive their red higher! I have my red @ 25% I think adds very nicely to the final color composed but more just not my taste. I guess to each their own!
Cheers,
Dave

I installed my UV pads today. It took a while as I took the fixture apart and cleaned it totally. I also had to replace a fan that had a broken lead wire, I updated Vertex link software, V-link stick and fixture firmware to the latest versions and installed 3 UV aux Modules. At first one of two red aux modules did not come on. So I unplugged the fixture and tried again and it came on after doing it twice. Right now, The light is just over my sump as I complete my build and I only really have 1 coral in there- A huge duncan colony. I have UV ramp up to 45% and then come back down. I'll let you know what happens over the next week.
Cheers

I have four red and two UV modules. In the near future I will make an update to 360s pads.

Cheers

Great looking tank mate, how long have you had the fixture for? Everything looks so healthy! Do you need to update? I would be interested to find out the cost:uhoh3:

Vertex Illumina Mounting Kit

Vertex Illumina Mounting Kit

I just bought the Vertex Illumina Mounting Kit. It didn't come with instructions and can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know where to get them?

My display tank has a 4" width brace at both ends. Can I mount the mounting legs as illustrated and have the reversed acyrlic mounting brackets (U) rest on the braces?

Note that the mounting leg on the right side does not flush with the fixture.

If OK, should I order the B12 acyrlic brackets and how many should I order? Two sets?

Also what will be the dimension of X ?

thorSvenson: Also before you mount them, can you do the experiment to the above situation to see whether it will work or not, thanks.
