Doing a full/complete firmware update will take care of this, right? I hope these multicolored modules are more promising and worthwhile than the red modules. I am not all that impressed with the red modules I have now.
 
Yes, make sure to do a complete update.

I didn't buy the red modules and was waiting for red/green combo module. Now that a multi colour one is born and I'm happy to get them, albeit they are expensive.
 
Post some pics when you do get them notclear. I also agree they are pricey considering the cost of the DIY route.

I also wish they were already proven to enhance coloration at that price point. I hate being the guiney pig. There never really was definitive proof that the reds and uv helped coral coloration, I have yet to see any before or afters. I read a lot of people felt reds did not help.

I have 3 empty slots on my 24" illumina 260 and 600 bucks to fill all slots is $$$.
 
I have 11 slots and already filled with 4 uv and 4 royal blue. After adding that multi color, the total I spend can possibly buy a full fixture!

I have a question about the moon settings:

I set clock and days until full moon properly before start programming the device.
my options are lunar cycle and east point. moon light is rb 5% b 2% w 0%.
my understanding is that the lunar cycle program doesn't set automatically the moon (rise and set) geometric clock following the real moonrise and moonset time. I have to set it up manually. the program change automatically only the moon light intensity based on the real moon synod.
so when the device moon light output will be rb 5% b 2% w 0% as I set up and as shown in my graph? in full moon time only? Will it be lower during the other days?

Yes it will be lower on other days and for few days there won't be moon lights at all.

Also note that even you set the moon intensity to 100%, it will only be 10% of the max intensity it will come out of the day intensity.

do you know how does the geometrics clock work? do I have to set up the real moon rise and set time?

if my moon light is set for example at rb 5%, it means that it corresponds to 0,5% of day light. am I right?

Forgot to answer the % ratio. Yes you are right. But even if you set the blue to 5%, the light is still enough.

Please post some pictures before and after the installation of the multicolored pads. I'm very curious about how much these pads will change the overall color temperature. Thanks in advance.
 
HELP! I have a 3' SR360 I'll be hanging within the next week using Vertex's ceiling hanging kit. I received the kit, but can't seem to figure out the best way to use the included hardware. Can anyone point me to some instructions on how to hang this thing?
 
doah! the instructions are pretty clear & easy and can be found in the fixture's manual itself! shoulda looked before posting!

Please consider that my intention is to use red and green leds only for sunrise and set effects. I'll only use the uv leds during the day in order to complete the light spectrum (400 nn).
 
Mario, I assume that you've installed the multicolor modules already. How do you like them? I just placed my order for one module to try out to see if I'll like it. I should be getting it on Friday hopefully.

Notclear, I see that JL Aquatics has them in stock on their web site. Have you gotten yours yet? Also, I clicked on the link you posted above, and it looks like 1968 is the newest firmware version. I'm guessing that if I do a complete update with the light fixture hooked up to my computer, it'll automatically update everything to the newest version. Am I correct? I'm asking this because there has been a few updates that I didn't do before because I didn't buy the UV modules as they were having so many bugs with the firmware. Thanks in advance.
 
I know that JL Aquatics has them but I promised to buy them from my LFS. Unfortunately they don't have them yet :(

1968 is the latest software version for the PC desktop. For the LED fixture firmware, the latest is 2035 and you need to do a complete update, not automatically as you need to download the firmware and do a manual update.

I have done both updates and am waiting for the modules.
