vertex in 180 mods???

hey guys.,,,,after months i made it back on here...forgot my login id so i had to make a new one...

i just bought a vertex in 180 for my new 90g system. so far i guess the skimmer is doing good granted its not under a bio load as of yet but will be in a few weeks when i tear down my other tank to add into the 90g system.

are there any MODS that can or need to be done to these to make them more efficent?

i seen in th epast a few guys on here where runnin them and just wanted to check on this.

With the size of that skimmer I dont think youll have much room in your sump for any mods. Only one I can think of is the recirc mod or putting a gate valve on the output to regulate the hight of the water in the skimmer.

ive still got plenty of room in my sump....not much for height but plenty of room to make things bigger if need be. but you know that dont you.....

nobody has really moded these yet. I would not recirc it unless you wanted to run it external for some reason.I dont think the neck will handle much more air. its rated at 720 lph Just let it run. You will be fine.
