What is the most likely cause of very aggressive fin rot (bacterial vs fungal)? I'm talking a very noticeable progression within 8 hours, so whatever it is, it's nasty. Am I right to assume this is bacterial, and not fungal, given the absence of any "fuzz?" All I have is neosporin, which will not do my any good right now, as I need to dissolve.
Situation: One ocellaris in a 10G QT, was treated with CP x 6 days at 60mg/G until yesterday, ran Prazipro for last 24 hours after eye clouding and listlessness developed. Fin rot has advanced dramatically in last 10 hours and appears to be accelerating. I rubbed on a glob of neosporin in a desperate attempt to do something.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
