I am very new to the hobby. I have been researching for a while. I am in the process of setting up a 90 gallon dt with a trigger 36 sump. I am setting up an ro/di/mixing station in my basement using 2 pickle 55 gallon barrels and I could use some help. 1. I am looking for a cheap pump to transfer the water from the ro/di barrel over to the second barrel which will be used to mix saltwater. 2. I plan on installing 1 3/4 inch bulkhead along with a short section of pvc connected to a ball valve at the bottom of each barrel to use as a spigot to fill 5 gallon buckets. I would really like to see some plans on how I can best accomplish this without breaking the bank. Eventually I'd like to hook up a garden hose to the saltwater barrel and pump it up to my tank and when I'm done simply wind up the hose. Any help with this type of plumbing set up would be greatly appreciated.

I use a 20 gallon brute barrel to mix salt water as I like to make a fresh batch of salt water when I do a bimonthly 10% water change. I drop a powerhead and heater in the barrel a day before then I use my pump to fill 5 gallon jugs. I fill extra 5 gallon jugs with RO/DI water for top off. I lose about a gallon of water a day to evaporation. One of my best investments was a auto top-off and 5 gallon reservoir that I keep next to my tank.
