Very tiny acro bug?

Hopefully just being paranoid.

This is a very small pod, looks to be brown in color, has legs, and can move fairly quickly.

Is this something to be worried about? :hmm2:

One bump for any information about this. I have found a few threads and some responses indicating either red bugs or AEFW but I've seen both and this isn't it. They are bugs, not worms, they can scurry around, and don't seem interested in the polyps. They also don't seem to be irritating the coral.

Thanks.

I have seen these guys but only under macro lense. They don't seem to bother anything here. Also I don't have many of them

Yes, there are several varieties, not all Acropora and Montipora bugs are red. I've had some similar in the past and they seemed to stick to certain species of Acropora and not show up on almost everything like the red.

Interceptor or Sentinel.

I've never seen any bugs or pods etc crawling on my acros Mark, i think therman hit the nail on the head about treating for them sooner rather than later.
Having never experienced bugs or AEFW i have no first hand knowledge of what they may look like but as i said earlier there shouldn't be anything like that crawling over your acros imo.

Btw, in the first pic you posted there are two more on the branch very low down on the right of the image.

Thanks for the info, I'm going through the denial phase at the moment. It's ironic they are on the most colorful coral in my tank at the moment.

I've already confiscated some Interceptor from the dogs supply.
