Vet that sells Interceptor?

I don't have red bugs, but I have a huge pod population that is gnawing on the ends of some of my prize chalices. I catch them eating after the lights are out, and there are thousands of them. I read on another board about interceptor dosing to control amphipod population, but do not have a vet that sells it. Does anyone know of a local source? Please pm me. Thanks.

Are your chalices dying? I've never heard of a pod that eats chalices. Their probably eating dead tissue or coral mucus. Pods are excellent sources of food for both fish and coral, I wouldn't dose interceptor in any tank. If your concerned take the coral out and dip it in water w/ interceptor. And to answer your question, any vet can get you interceptor. Just go in and explain why you want it. But I think you need to do more research. People see something on a dead coral/fish/clam etc and assume it was that thing that killed it when the crab/worm/pod is just cleaning up the dead tissue. If you want to decrease the pod population, just get a wrasse or 2.

Thanks for the reply BenjieC. I have posted the same question on CMAS and gotten similar answers. My chalices are all doing well, and I thought the watermelon was doing fine too. I've had it for 6 months or so, I did dip it in Revive, moved it, and cut off the white skeleton. I do have a 6 line wrasse and a mystery wrasse. The 6 line hunts, but doesn't seem to be reducing the pod population. I am unsure whether the pods killed the coral, or were eating a dying coral. On another board, I saw a thread about pods eating zoos and some lps and figure my low nutrient tank was not supporting my pod population so they may have resorted to eating coral tissue. I'm going to give them a chance, and see where it goes...
