VHO mount???

i just recently purchased a vho kit with a reflector. anyway i am not going to use the reflecor in my canopy, and want to just mount inside the canopy with my halides. the fixture does not have the plates i need to mount, so the question is what could i use to mount to the canopy? im thinking about just getting some metal stock and cutting and drilling them out. anyone know if lowes or hd sells endcap mounts? my LFS dosent have them which leaves me to DIY. any help is appreciated!

thats what im looking for but $20+ shipping isnt what im looking to spend. i guess i really just wanted to know if lowes of hd sold something i could pick up cheap, or i could make myself. thanks anyway...

Hd and lowes will not have them, but you can make something pretty easly. The only hard part is getting the holes in the correct places, but you can use your reflectors as a pattern. Just get a couple of small peices of wood/plastic aprox 1 inch by 2.5 inches by 1/4 or 1/2, drill 2 holes centered on the long end, about 1/4 of the way from long end, at the same distance and size as the holes in the reflector that the endcaps mount to. After the holes are drilled countersink them so you can put the mounting screws in them with the heads completely inside the wood. Screw them to your end caps, then run some screws through the ends into your canopy,. Pretty easy actually.
