Video of my tank

I jumped on the youtube bandwagon :p
Here's a short clip of my tank. Video looks a million times worse than what came out of the camera, that's for sure. But at least you can see what my tank looks like, and of course... the coolest blenny in the world :D

Thanks all. I haven't taken a full tank shot in a long time. Better do one soon though... I'm getting the upgrade itch :p

Just uploaded an 11mb clip- just a pan across the whole tank. It looks ok in Quicktime and terrible in WMP... trying to figure out the best compromise between file size and overall quality. Anyhow, click here to see the clip.
Thanks for looking.

I think that you can buy an ointment for that.

Thanks- I'm still trying to make it better. If you could only see how it looks straight out of the camera... that'd be about a 2gig file though :(

I don't know, Greg, it looks pretty darn good on my screen. Especially if you don't use full screen the picture is clear and I can definately feel sence of motion... poor fish... :D

lol... poor, fat, greedy, fat fish :p
I worked on it for a while yesterday, trying different compression levels with different formats- there are so many options...
Those bubble tips- I don't do anything- just got lucky I guess. I've only had the anemone for about 6 months and have fed it maybe a half dozen times and it's already grown about 500% :eek1:

Hey Greg, Nice video, but why is it not in widescreen format? I just figuered it would be with the HD camera and all! :D

Good question. The answer is it's just a royal pain trying to compress video files down to a reasonable size. Hi def compounds the problems throughout the entire process (editing and compressing).

Wow! The new video is great too!! This makes me want to get my camera out and start taking some video. I love the way your water flow really blows the fish and coral around. Are you using any wavetimers or wavemakers at all? Very cool stuff!

Thanks! There are two Wavy Sea things moving water around via Hyperflows, plus two Seios and the two returns (Rio Hyperflows). All in all it's something like 3000gph, but all very diffused flow so nothing gets blasted too hard.
