Viol. Lion Fish

I was wondering if a full sized lion fish (12''-15'') could eat a full sized black clown fish. Also, can the dwarf fuzzy lion fish eat skunk cleaner shrimp or fire shrimp?

You should YouTube for videos of lionfish eating shrimps. Polish them off with no effort at all. I'd say if a 12" lionfish wanted to snatch a black clown then it wouldn't have much of an issue doing so.

I am envious of you, we are unable to buy Lionfish here because of Biosecurity restrictions

Yes and yes.

That doesn't mean they will, but they can and will if they feel like it. Lionfish can eat prey almost as big as they are.

If i keep them together from the time the lionfish is small and feed him well would i have problems or is it just a chance id have to decide to take or not?

Either way, the Lion can and will eat whatever he wants.

I would think it is probable wether they are fed well or not. Lionfish are preditors, and if they can have live, wiggly prey over everything else, why wouldnt they go for it?
