Stopped at ECA last evening, to meet someone and pick up some lights for the tank I'm building.
I've never been there before.

Pretty nice store, low on Marine stuff, but they have a nice setup.

I saw the baby saddle back clowns they have for sale ($12.95)
Cute little buggers, and about the same size as a bug...barely half an inch long.

One of the workers tried to sell me an Angel fish while I was there, even though I told him i didn't have my tank setup yet.

Love the display tank in front of the store, beautiful French Angel fish in there. It's always been one of my favorite fish. Saw tons of them while diving in the Fla. Keys years ago.

I went there last week as well, gorgeous display, loved the french as well. Their marine fish selection did not impress me at all, with a display like that, I expected better. Most of the coral lights were out, so I didn't get a good luck at what they had coral wise, but I am more of a fish guy anyway. Not a bad stop tho on the way up to the hidden reef for a nice fish trip.

HR Needs to get some new lights.. All their corals look brown-red... just like they did in their old store.. New huge store with all kinds of stuff to buy... nice fish selection but like i said i was alittle dissapointed in their coral selection.

I thought their corals were a little over priced at THR, but the fish isn't bad. As far as corals go, RC members is the way to go.

I've been disappointed by the corals at the LFS's as well. When I lived in Pittsburgh, Mike Paletta used to organized group buys, and we would order through him....direct from the distributors. We had some really beautiful stuff back then (circa 1993)
When you say RC Members, are you talking offers by this group?

Just finding other members on RC that have frags, getting out of the hobby and sell corals, etc. You'll always find corals on the forums (DRC, PARC, DVRC, NJ boards etc), fish on the other hand is hard to come by, especially fish that I like (large angels).

Some of the best frags and corals I have gotten I have gotten off or RC members. I do not mind driving to pick up as long as it is local and as a plus I get to see their tanks and get ideas for my own.

Exactly Andy, I'd rather buy off RC members as well, nice to meet fellow hobbyist.

Does anyone know if East Coast Aquatics drills tanks? I heard they drill any glass tank for $30 a hole? That true? I need either a 55g or 30g with one hole drilled for a fuge return.
