Visiting Chicago. Need LFS recommendations.

I’m going to be in Downers Grove most of next week. What fish stores does everyone recommend I visit while I’m there?

Deep Reef Aquatics is in Downers Grove and is a nice store. I would go there. If you want to adventure Rod's Reef in Dekalb is a great shop.

Oceans Floor is also a great place if you are willing to make a 45 min - 1 hour drive.

If you don't plan on buying anyting and just want to get a saltwater fix, go to the Shedd?

I really wanted to go to the Shedd but since they close at 6pm I don't think I'd be able to make it.

Well if you will be in Downer's Grove, I highly recommend Deep Reef Aquatics especially for rare and unusual fish. All store personnel are highly knowledgeable as they are also hobbyists. If you don't mind a long trek, I can also recommend Oceans Floor or Sea Schor but more for corals than fish.

I'm mostly going to be looking for some nice colorful zoanthids. Thanks for all of your suggestions. I'm definately going to check out Deep Reef Aquatics since it's less than 4 miles from where I'm staying. If there is one store to go to for zoanthids which would it be?
