vitamines

Greetings,

What kind of vitamine supplement is everyone using? I see some that is dosed directly to tank and some that is added to food.

I also have been supplementing with some iodine. Is there a certain brand that is good?

ive heard pros and cons i have zoe and zoecon. however if the skimmer is running ive been told it just pulls it out of the water..

havent used mine in about 2 months and my fish are still beatiful.

none. feed a large variety of foods and they should be fine . lots of people think the vitamins are a hoax. I personally have no clue what benefit they might have. I have always had healthy breeding pairs of fish and healthy babies so no clue what they are needed for. then again I eat mcdonalds and taco bell most days and I don't take vitamins myself. maybe I should start

I put a drop or two of Zoe[con] into my cyclopeeze every feeding. Reason: I got it with a purchase and didn't want to throw it down the sink. Won't hurt. I agree there are a lot of snake oils out there though. Usually I stick to only Selcon for an additive.

ive seen tanks and fish thriving with it and without it so ....
ive heard people complain about their skimmers going crazy dont know for sure though...
when i walk into LFS they swear by it.. but is that just for a sale...

LFS's swear by everything in their store. My general rule of thumb is if they use it in their systems (make them put some in their show tanks as you sit and watch!!), then it is good enough for me - if I find value in it of course. My skimmer is hell on wheels and will take out most things I out in there. But hopefully the fish will consume the food before the skimmer does. They're pigs, they'll get it.
