Anybody been by their store lately? I went in on Saturday and they've REALLY bumped it up-- some incredible frags as well as mature corals. They're also putting in a 700 gallon (?) display system which looks like they've got it all figured out.

I go ther eall the time and their store has always been top notch. The 700 gallon system looks like it has WAY too much flow going through the sump. They had the cut the teeth on BOTH over flows. It's really bad. Maybe it's just temporary. Who knows?

Lol, and both are off of the 101!

Was just there. Picked up a sweet Lineatus and some acans. They are definitely stepping it up in terms of not only the choice stuff but have plenty of reasonable frags. Also like the fact that they QT their fish. Gotta stop since I sound like a commercial...

Yeah, the flow looked massive, but then so did mine when I first set it up... now I'm thinking I need to double it. you also probably saw that they've got a nice gentle flow through the refugium across the aisle from the sump. So, maybe they'll fine tune it. I was impressed.

Yes they have a nice stuffs but too far for me & 101 it's really bad took me almost 2 hrs to get home

Here is the tank on Move-In-Day. I helped carry it from the truck. Actually, straight from the bed of the truck to the stand....

Yeah but all that flow shouldn't be going through the sump. It should be going through a CL. I still think that it's a bad idea, but what do I know? Absolutely nothing :D.

what is vivid video? do they do marine videos or somthing? i would love to have someone do professional videos of my tank, I wonder if they could send someone down to orange county...

Ummmm don't know what to say to this. Anyway, my office for 3 years was the 3rd floor of the vivid building. I am still there all the time.

Yeah, you should look them up...
actually that's a JOKE as they do porn movies. not that I'd know anything about that. :)

That tank is 800 gallons. Vivid is having a sale on their small sps colonies right now, but its still out of my price range if that means anything lol

IMHO,..expensive coral, sick fish. And thats not a qt setup,..its a hospital tank where fish are treated with methylene blue no matter what the sickness.

Sorry i just feel like ive been ripped off there everytime. Last time i checked there were $90 2 inch croceas,.....because they were "ultra"

sorry to be blunt,..on a good note though, they do honour their 7 day fish guarantee. Its definitely a cool little shop with a lot of choices though and i do go by and buy little things time after time

Hey xxvietxjustinxx the way they are running that tank over there is by far one of the best set-ups i have ever seen. what the hell do you know about TOO MUCH FLOW through the sump. its just going to help all the water get filtered better by the skimmers and the pads. PLUS they T'd off the return so a slow water flow goes through the refugium(The only Part That Matters If Theres Too Much Flow) so before you talk next time "Julian Sprung" no what your saying first NOOB!!!
