Earlier as my lights were dimming I noticed this. I've had this fish for almost a month now and he's a monster. No odd behavior or anything. I also have a powder brown and a Tomini in there with him and they are doing well, eating with no problems and no fish are showing any of the telltale signs..

If this is ich, what is my best course of action? This is a 265g reef with about 350lbs rock in it, and 20 fish. Removing them all is really not that feasible.

Thanks in advance.

These tangs will splotch out under stress and changing light conditions. That's what I see in the pictures.

I don't see salty spots normally seen with a visible ich infestation. Did you quarantine or perform tank transfer to avoid the opportunity? Do you have any fish showing signs?

Watch out for flashing (rubbing on rocks) for external parasites, etc.

No QT on him, don't have a tank big enough, and I got him from a friend and established reefer, he was breaking down a 300g with multiple tangs.

No other fish are showing signs. I will keep an eye out.

What Dan said. I have one and he can change coloration at will and sometimes appears to have an issue. However yours also appears to be a juvenile with less than adult coloration.
