cost effective? vodka cost pennies a day to run, pellets are much more epencive plus they need a reactor. I think you would see better results with a pellet reactor combo though.

I used to run vodka ,it is a lot less then pellets, but with vodka I had cyano issues once in a while.Now I run pellets in the reactor for 5 mos. now and I am very happy,no cyano problems,also I don't have to dose vodka everyday so it is less work. Even that pellets cost more I like them better and they are worth every penny to me.

With the money you would spend on pellets and a reactor you could easily buy a drews doser type dosing pump and avoid manual dosing. I have never had cyno problems when dosing vodka but I have heard others overcome a cyno problem by dosing some vinegar with their vodka.

Pellets win over Vodka. They do much better and they really do drop your Nitrates down very low.

well you cant drink pellets so that's a instant negative in my book but honestly I would go with pellets as well. Check out BRS for the reactor and the pellets.
