Vodka?

well, alcohol is lighter than water, so it would float on top "in theory" so if youhave a surface skimmer, perhaps it will bond with the phosphates and float to the top of a skimmate cup ?

donno.

I say it is a good waste of spirits though at anyrate, and when I had some beer dumped into a reef tank years ago at a party the results were disasterous.

I remember seeing a post earlier in the year about this same topic (I believe it was on the Reef Chemistry forum). I think someone added too much and wound up killing everything, so I would not mess with it. Water changes with RODI water and good husbandry should keep phosphate in check.

Besides, I can think of much better things to do with vodka ;) .
