Voltage in tank

Looking for some advice. I have about 2.5 volts or less going threw my tank. I have tried unplugging everything but it doesn't seem to be any one thing. My lights seem to be the main issue. I did a little reading and found people said to add a ground probe, I called my brother who is and electrical engineer and he informed me on how to rig one up to see if it helped....it made it worse.... he is baffled. Does anyone have any advice, if I cut all the power it goes away.

Sounds like you have a small hole in the insulation on one of your power heads or some other equipment that has a cord in the water.

Is that a Titanium probe you got in there?
Because I have one of those in mine and I haven't had any problems!
Also, Have you tried getting a second one and putting it in your sump?????????

Voltage in tank

Unplug one piece of equipment, check for voltage, unplug the next, check for voltage ect ect until you find the culprit.

Edit: seems like you tried that? I'm at a loss then. If it's the lights are they touching the water at all?

There will always be a heated debate on this, but grounding probes are a bad idea. If there is stray voltage it will not effect of the fish or corals because there is no direct path to ground. Think of birds sitting on high tension lines, why don't they get electrocuted? Same reason.
But regardless, your tank should be on a GFCI circuit.
