How do I use it to test for stray voltage? Do I set it to ac, or dc, and put the neg probe to a ground or in the water? I have just a simple radio shack continuity voltage tester.
should be on ac and one side to a ground and the other in the water. I traced mine the old fashion way....stuck a hand in and started unplugging things....mine was a glass heater.
I've done that in the past; a couple mornings ago I got a good tingle, problem was I could still feel pain with everything unplugged. Where do I get ground from; I used one from my power strip and had a reading of <2v that was accumulative. I ran an extension cord and used its ground and have about 4.25v and I can only remove about .25 by cutting all power.
