voltage setting on power supply unit

Roger. purchased a couple of 6055 units and a 7095 multi controller but need to know what i should set the voltage to on the power supply for each unit.thanks

The voltage adjusts the strength of the pump, you can use whatever voltage you need for your size tank.

Roger, I've just purchased 2 6055 pumps (used) and the power supply has a switch for the voltage range. I'm going to control them with an Apex controller.

You say above to set the voltage based on the size of the tank, but I'm not quite clear on the parameters. They came to me set on 24v. Does a lower voltage simply control pump speed? When/why would I use 18v, or 10v?

Are there limitations on percentage of pump speed with the Apex for these pumps? Running below 30% but over 0% cause issues? I know my larger 6100s had this warning.

Thanks

By changing the voltage you change the range of adjustment, so 30-100 at 24V is roughly 550-1450 and at 12V it is about 200-600. If you have a smaller tank, you may benefit from the lower voltage. The voltage change is independent of the controller function, it doesn't overlap, this is the same as on your 6100 which was a 19V pump and the 6000 was the same pump with only 11V. These older pumps were AC and on the driver when this power was converted to DC it was essentially 15 and 24V.
