Volunteers needed for something easy :)

I would like to compile a list of members willing to pair up with a new person and "show them the ropes". My first meeting was a frag-workshop meeting and I was attending by myself. I thought the whole thing was very overwhelming. I had no idea what to do or not do to avoid offending anyone or break any rules. I have seen lots of new members at their first meeting looking unsure or downright lost. I sympathize and would like to make the club a more welcoming, friendly place for new people.

We can have a short get together at one of the meetings to go over what you could do to make them feel comfortable and not so alone. I was thinking an explanation of the raffle rules, introductions to friends, show them where the snacks are and explain that there is no charge for them and maybe even point them toward the restrooms.

If the list is long enough (10-15 people) we should be able to get by with only needing everyone once. If there aren't many interested in helping you may have to rotate through a couple times depending on the number of new members this year.
