Vortech controller DIY

It will take a lot of steam out of the whole vortech vs. Tunze thing if my next DIY is to Borg the 7095 and vortech together.

I would love to see something like this, as it would get me closer to controlling a Vortech with my Profilux controller which has a built in Tunze controller.

Giovanni, in case no one has told you lately, I'd like to let you know that 'You the man' as the kids say. At least I think the kids say that... it was on an afterschool special.. once.... a few years ago.... maybe?

elzool,

Thanks for the compliment.

Interfacing the 7095 or any other tunze type controller, should not be much different than the Aquasurf.

I have been working out a way so that the stock POT stay in the Vortech making it an even easier DIY. Getting that POT out of there is a bear. Also leaving the POT for use without the Aquasurf will be good.

Related to some concern about burning out the POT on the driver board, I have made some changes to the DIY. This version is actually simpler to do and totally removes any chance of damage to the POT. I have a photo of the wiring diagram and three videos to explain how to do it. The second video is from my other DIY and the youtube label is wrong, but show the procedure needed.

You should also watch all the other videos in this DIY to see how to take the driver apart and put it back together with the wall wart wires coming out.
