Now that you brought this subject up of having a controller holder for the Vortech controller, you have my brain juices flowing now.
I don't see why two pieces of soft rubber or acrylic strips mounted on each side of the controller and then slip the controller to rest into the cradle would work just fine. You could use clear or white acrylic for the cradle / holder and it should look pretty slick.
I'll play around with a design prototype and see how it turns out.
Here's the controller mounting board I came up with over the weekend, which I mounted my two Vortech controllers and my Digital Aquatics Reef Keeper Elite Head Controller.
The controllers fit directly into the cradle and fits sung, so that they will not fall out.
I mounted the plywood base by using the 3M Command Brand Damage Free Hanging Kit, which this particular kit will hold up to 16-lbs. The less holes in the old paneling the better.
I'll I have to do next, is clean up the wires and I'll be all set.
It's not the best looking mount, but it will do for now and at least the controllers are not setting flat along the ledge of the tank, where they possibly sustain water damage.
Thanks,
Randy
