Vortech depth?

Hello,

I have a 130 gal corner tank, that is 30" deep. I was wondering if it mattered how deep the vortech is installed? I have it about halfway down, and figure this will provide better flow throughout the tank, but I see many people have them closer to the surface.

Also do you guys think that one vortech is enough for my tank size?

I have multiple pumps in my 135 and I think once you get one, you will want more as they work together very nicely. I installed mine closer to the surface because I clean the wetside at least once a month so it makes it easier. I also keep my sps near the top and some of my lps near the bottom so it regulates the flow nicely between the two: high on top, less on bottom

I put my single unit closer to the top of my 31" tall tank. This creates a nice circular loop in the tank, moving and pulling up stuff off the bottom....

So do you think more then one is essential? Which setting is better for sps, reef crest or lagoon? Or should I set it to a pulse setting?
