vortech flow

I was wondering if anyone ran 2 mp10w es on a 75 gallon tank and if so do you have good flow? I ask because i am wanting to add some controllable flow to my tank. I will not have any sps corals, and a 75 gallon tank is really all the bigger i plan to go. So with that said do you think i can get good flow with 1 mp10's synced together? Thanks!

I have 2 mp10esw on a 65 gallon. I think I get great flow. I usually only run them at about 50%. When I run them at a 100% I can get about a 3/4 inch wave going. I like to run mine at 50% on either the lagoon mode or reef crest mode. I like the varying currents and streanth of the flow. I was a little worried about 2 mp10's on a 4' tank but, glad I did. Currently, I am looking into a 3rd mp10 for the back glass just to mix it up a bit more. I would rather have even more random flow even if I ran them at less than 50%.

I have 1 Mp10 and two nano Koralia's with a 3/4 squid for my return lines. I get plenty of flow and run my MP10 at around 50% on Rc mode. I have a 60g tank and if I turn up the MP10 it seems like to much flow and the corals don't open up as far.

I'm using a single MP10 on a 55. Short pulse @ 70-75% gives me about an inch of up and down water movement. It's on an LPS tank and I found I get the best PE on this setting.

I have 1 mp10es on a 40g breeder. I can't seem to get any wave action but my tank is 3 feet long so maybe the tank is too big for that?

I also fear that when run on short pulse mode, it would wear out the MP10 much quicker as it sounds like it would be harder on the pump? Anyone else have this fear or input regarding the short pulse mode ramping up and down so quickly all day long?

Thats what I was thinking also so I decided not to run it that way. It did make a 1/2" surge in my 60g but it did take a few to get the surge that way.

My tank is 4 foot long and I get a great surge. It's all in taking the time to run through the wave tuning process.

I look at it like this, they put the option on the controller so it's probably made to take the pulsing and the replacement cost for a wet or dry side for the MP10 really isn't that much IMO.

I use 2 mp10s and 2 tunze 6025s along with my return on my 75. I run them at about 75% in whatever the purple is. The 2 mp10s seems a took weak in the middle for my sps. It would probably work in a tank where you dont need very high flow. I have a mixed reef.

IMO you would be happier with one mp40. I kept a mixed reef 75g with one for a year. SPS on the other side were happy, and flow was low enough for LPS in the tank. Good undertow. If you need more flow on the other side an mp10 can boost it.

I agree, go with one mp40. You'll be happy and you can thank us later. .

I have 2 mp10s in my 110g tall 4ft long. The flow is great my coral and fish enjoy the waves.

If you're not keeping SPS I think you could get away with two mp10s. I would probably want 1 MP40 instead though so that you can get a good strong surge instead of two weak ones. A lot depends on your rock work as well. That could be the determining factor wheather or not they would be enough.

I had my mp40 since they came out, 5-6 years ago always had it on
Reef Creest running at 100%.never had a problem with my pump.
