Vortech Guard options

Hey guys I am interested to see options members are using to guard their vortechs to protect their sea horses.

My Angustus never usually swims up however this morning got his tail caught in the vortech. Luckily I was there to save him.

The injury doesnt look too bad so hopefully he recovers but he is definately sulking at the moment.

Thanks Jeff, Find these really cut down the flow though... any other options out there?

If not the foam guard, about the best DIY type guard would be to get some of the mesh screening and build your own guard around it. Would take some time and designing, but you could make a 2 tier guard of mesh so that particulates get through, but far enough 'out' so that if the sea horse gets close it'll be far enough out to fight out of the current.


Something I thought of doing myself.
