vortech in small tanks...

i know the description says 20-500 gallons, but is anyone running a vortech in a small tank, or is it just overkill?? my tank is 29 gallons, with a seio 620 and a koralia 1 in addition to the return, but i'd like to be able to move more detritus as well as vary the flow automatically, and it seems like a vortech would be perfect for that...

let me know, and show me your small vortech tanks!!

thanks!

pd.

I'm running one full force on my 37 and it works wonderfully. My SPS have more PE than ever. I want to get another when I upgrade to my 65.

I have one in my 3.5 gallon starfire tank; not turned down all the way. Currently have it in reef crest mode and love the movement in the tank.

I had a buddy tested it in a 4 gallon square bucket and it worked well, so I picked one up. :D

awesome guys.. thanks... i'm still torn between the vortech and a t5 fixture and a skimmer, i dont' know which will benefit the tank the most.. and i won't have this kind of $$$ to spend on the tank for a long time...

Any chance you could post a picture?

Are you running bare bottom?
