Hey Tim,
Hopefully you can help me out with this one.
I run my Vortech on Pulse Mode 100% on my tank. The first 2 weeks on the tank it worked beautifully.
I recently recieved the Gen 2 Magnet Upgrade and installed it. No the pump seems to be slipping almost. It doesn't keep a constant pulse. I figured I installed the upgrade wrong. I can even see the wave driver picking up the slip as the Blue Light will dim a little bit when it slips up. It's not constant, but enough to the point where I can't get a wave going in the tank again.
Judging by the picture above. I installed everything on right, and removed everything on the left.
I obviously amusing the shroud and the prop still. I also saw on the directions it said to use the spacer. Is that the clear plastic ring that was on the old magnet? That's what I assumed it was and used that on the new magnet, since there was no space in my package.
I don't see what I could of done wrong aside from maybe tightening the nut to much or not enough? I have it just a little tighter than "hand tight".
