Vortech master/slave ESL

I have 2 Mp60's and 2 MP40's. The MP60's are on either end of the tank while the mp 40's are on the back wall. Does setting them up on ESL automagically put them in a master/slave mode? I have them represented the appropriately on the aquarium layout page.

I do not see the colors changing to show that one pump is the mater and the others are slaves. I am trying to make sure my nutrient export mode is working correctly.

Thanks in advance!

On ESL select VorTech on the right side of the screen. Drag sync or anti-sync to the pump you want to become slave. Then you to select which pump you want to to sync to, making that pump the slave to the pump you just selected. The master pump will display the color of whatever mode you have it on and the slave pump will be white or orange. you must click PROGRAM AQUARIUM to save your settings. For you mp40 you can drag ECOSMART BACK since they are on the back of your tank and you want to use nutrient export mode.

thanks again! I feel rather stupid that I did not just try and drag those over before, I just assumed by having the pumps positioned in the layout that ESL would do the rest for me. all good now!

Does the slave/master relationship work in other modes besides nutrient transport and tidal swell? On the vortech modes description it shows what the master and slave does in correlation with each other, however it does not in say the reefcrest mode. Is the description just not clear and it does work the same way or do they both just do some random program independent of each other?

You are able to use the Master/Slave relationship with all of the modes available to you.

Another thing to point out is that after dragging and dropping a Sync/Anti-Sync mode onto your desired VorTech schedule, you can click on it in the schedule to expand the details. To quickly setup an "All Day" Sync/Anti-sync relationship, simply check the All Day box and click Save Mode. Program your schedule and you are synced all day with just a few clicks!
