Vortech mode?

Yes, it is one of the new modes. But from the description it has in the manual, it seems you need at least two, if not three, vortech powerheads to get the most out of that mode. With my single vortech, I stick with the reefcrest mode.

Actually I have a single MP 10 in my frag tank on NTM and is seems to do fine. I do have 3 MP40's in my display tank on NTM with one on the side as master and two on the opposite side as slaves

So I take it that NTM is only on the new model controllers?

Yup. NTM and Tidal Surge(?) are only on the new ES drivers.

Anyway, I bounce between 100% reefcrest(yellow) & lagoon(purple) with the occasional hour or so of 100% constant(green) to stir things up.

I saw a chart somewhere that showed the amount of water each mode moved, I think lagoon was second to the constant mode.

I use Reef Crest at 80% on my two MP40w using antisync on my 120 gal.
I switch to Lagoon Mode at 50% at night.
Use the WMX module on my Apex to make changes to modes easy.

I used to use Reefcrest, but been running both my MP20 and MP40W at short pulse for the last few months and my SPS seems to get more polyps extension.

I use full blast 100% of the time (green mode) on my MP40W. I have a Tunze 6105 on a controller to add some randomness. I felt like I was short-changing myself by not running it maxed out (and I couldnt stand the noises the motor made ramping the speed up and down all of the time)
