Dear Santa,

We both know I haven't been very good this year, but I also haven't been as diabolical as I could have been. I would like a new Vortech mp10 for my little tank. I promise to try and curb my Lucile Ball type ways.

Your Friend,

Jennifer

PS, for your convenience my birthday is located during your slow season.

If you're gonna get bent out of shape about a missing letter, maybe you should also check your grammar. Heh

Capital letters, coma's. You know... LMAO Just giving you a hard time.

At any rate, I may have to check into these MP10's, I am in the process of buying a house, so I may end up having to sell my 120g :-(

thats funny steve whats wrong with vortechs

I thought I heard before that if you dont clean them all the time they jam up. Kreeger might have said something like that to me. Regardless I saw the MP40 at salty and I was sold (with the exception of not having an extra $420 laying around).

yea thats what sucks way to expensive iam hopeing the new mp10 puts out some good flow maybe enough for my 40 gallon tank its rated for up to 55

VORTEC SUCKS

I assume you mean the sucking action of the prop, that is half the reason why they are so great, not only do you get the output from the prop but you get a ton of suckage from the prop to pull water along the top or bottom of yout tank.

tunze are the ones you need to clean every 3 months, vortecs have had issue from the start. I think there's 2 groups, people that love them and people that hate them. It seems it's spilt pretty much 50/50 on that too.
Complaints I've heard, are loud, they don't line up, broken shaft, rusty parts.

I know the company has been updating and fixing issues with them, I personally don't have any first hand experience with them.

I've had 2 MP40's running for almost 2 years now with no problems, now adding a 3rd. I get 1 - 1.5" wave with them in a 7ft tank.

I have an mp40. It’s powerful, but if you have it in wave mode and fairly high speed you will hear the motor as it ramps up and down.
It doesn’t bother me, but the little woman complains about it but then she always needs something to complain about.. I only used the drapes to dry my arm off 1 time. Geeeess think she'd let it go already..... :)
