as said, i dont lick and drool vortech like most of you fanboys do. i call a noisy pump noisy and over rated for the price. i call a duck a duck, not like u fanboys calling the duck a swan.:lolspin:

Somehow you think I had an emotional reaction in relation to you actually owning a Vortech or two? Interesting.
I call it operator error when a Vortech makes as much noise as you claim they do. Either from poor wet side maintenance or misalignment.
FWIW the "Moved On" is unfortunately just another troll.
always operator error, that's why u guys are labeled vortech fanboys,
even though vortech ackonowledged that the wetside i had was indeed noisy.
Ecotech should give you some freebies, youre their avid defender.

lol funny read :lmao: To the op, as stated, you will not have problems with paint. I do not own a vortech but have friends with them that have them mounted to sides and backs of tanks with paint, no issues and theirs were quiet. Seem like great pumps, I just cannot justify the price tag unless they had 5-6 year warranty as I have kept stunning corals and had great flow in my tanks from... much lesser pumps, all of which have lasted many years and some have even lasted through multiple tanks. But to each his own and I am sure if I had the extra cash, I would be running them :rollface:

Sounds like your wet side needs maintenance. It won't fix itself and running it like that just wears out the rest of the parts faster.
