Vortech MP40WES HELP!

Hey Guys,

Already tried contacting ecotech today but they don't have weekend tech support.

I have an older MP40WES that I just switched the wet side on so I could clean mine (long over due). It worked fine for about a day but today when I went to swap my other so I could clean that wet side, the WES is flashing red.

Now I've tried the "hold the mode button" reset and also the "hold the mode and set buttons" reset but neither of them work. I've also tried unplugging the unit but nothing works.

Any one have any suggestions on what to do? My sps is over by this pump.

Thanks,
Rob

Had a similar issue........even after upgrading to QD controller. Ended up replacing the dry side.

Rob,

It sounds as though the RF Module could have come loose in your controller. I would recommend following the steps below:

1. Disconnect the controller from power
2. Remove the 3 screws from the back of the controller
3. Slide off the knob and separate the two halves of the controller
4. Remove the driver board from the controller
5. In the top left corner of the driver, remove the RF Module that is raised off the driver board
6. Carefully line up the pins and put the RF Module back in place
7. Close the driver casing and power the unit on

I will have to try this because mine is doing the same thing. I recently moved and after my move into my new house, one of my MP40wes started doing the same thing, I don't know where it started flashing red and no manual reset would work for it. I thought my website may have been bad so I bought a new one, but it continues to flash red
