VorTech Power Heads

I got a mp10 this weekend, it makes noise but that is because the motor is outside the tank so it is not muffled by water. Pull a koralia out of your tank and let it run dry for a few seconds and it makes way way way way more noise than a vortech does. The noise at 70% ish is about the same as my light fan so it is not very noticeable. Now when you put it on wave mode it makes more noise because you hear the thing speeding up and slowing down every second, but what do you expect?

On my nano the thing is great, since it creates a broad stream of water with a good under tow it creates more of a current in the tank.

If you get two you can utilize the ecosmart modes more effectively since they are designed to have at least a powerhead on each end of the tank if not a 3rd on the rear wall. The ecosmart modes do the nutrient transport mode and tidal swell mode, nutrient transport does a resonating wave & crash that stirs up all the crud in your tank. Tidal swell does a left to right then right to left pulse with a crash at the end to simulate tide coming in and out.
