anyone else get water in the wet-side magnet housing? ive seen the result of a previous magnet and it was all destroyed and rusty because of that......just wondering if this is normal? the previous one had this issue and seems that my new wet side has the same issue.....i find when i had it off and cleaning it i could hear the water inside the housing

I don't think I'm understanding completely. Maybe I've never looked at it closely, but I don't recall the magnet being inside of something that is water tight, so what I think you are referring to is normal. I take mine apart to clean once a month or so.

wet-side pasquale.....so the side thats already submerged, the magnetic houusing, is that supposed to be water tight? tony i think it may be just the norm for it i guess, the previous one i took apart when i bought it used was all rusted though, kinda had me worried

I think the old style magnet would corrode. The updated model does not have the issue from what I have read.
