Trying to set up a mixed reef in a cad lights 70g -35.5"x23.5"x18"
I selected 2 MP10s because they seemed to be the best fit on the ecotech flow calculator. I've been playing with the reef link now trying to set up a schedule, and maybe there's too much flexibility...
In mixed reef tanks, should I have a lower intensity "rest" period at night? Lagoon or constant? How long is typical?
I'm currently performing a nutrient transport twice a day, I'm thinking about dropping it to once in the morning ( typically after I feed )
Current schedule is:
03:00 lagoon 50%
05:30 Reefcrest 65%
08:00 nutrient transport 65%
10:30 Reefcrest 65%
20:00 nutrient transport 50%
22:30 lagoon 50%
The pumps are in opposition.
I initially had the "day time" power at 75% but this was too much for the lps in the lower part of the tank and it was "digging" a hole into my sand bed in the middle of the tank.
I'm thinking about nudging the day time settings up to 70 and I wonder if maybe I've just over complicated everything with the reef link...
Thoughts? Suggestions?
