Vortech sticky dial

I recently purchased two MP10wQD, one of them the dial is a little rough to turn and makes a small rubbing/grinding noise when turned. The other is perfectly smooth and silent, how all of my MP40's were in previous tanks. Any reason for concern here? I made the non-smooth vortech the slave so shouldn't be adjusting it much anyway.

That's certainly strange, but I wouldn't be overly concerned. Please make sure to save your receipt, should you ever have an issue with that unit we would be happy to replace/repair it for you.
