Vortechs in stock

Jeremy I am interested in getting the vortech pump for my 55 gallon, I know you can manually tune them down to fit the flow of the tank, how would you rate these pumps? I was also thinking about a Tunze 6010 kit. Which would you rather go with and do you have both of these in stock?

Hi Scott,

The Vortech's are excellent pumps. Combine that with a battery backup and you have a pump that puts out awesome flow, and will run your tank for 30+ hrs in case of a power outage as well. The downside is you can not angle them in any direction.

The Stream's are a terrific powerhead too. I run two in my 75gal system and absolutely love them. They are much bigger in a tank than what the Vortech's are, but you do have the really nice controller and can somewhat point them in a direction that you want. The downside is they have no battery backup system for them.
