Waitei anthias?

Unfortunately, Ive never seen any Luzonichthys species do well long term in captivity. They are often caught as 'by-catch' along with different anthias species (commonly Bartletts Anthias, around Christmas Island), but I dont think most divers actually target them.

This fish tends to adjust poorly to captive life- delicate in shipping, and it can be difficult to get them to feed aggressively and maintain weight. There are exceptions of course, but those are far out-weighted by individuals who die within weeks of purchase. Best left on the reef IMO...

i agree ^^ i receive L. earlei from christmas and they do very poorly even when they eat greedily. Just a very tough fish that needs multiple feedings a day (i would say 5+).

I would stay away from them, IMO.
