Im getting a delivery in a couple of minutes from Vivid Aquariums of a RBTA a Yellow and a Purple tang. Im also getting a delivery from Reef Hot Spot of a GBTA and a Blue tang.... I'll post pictures as soon as they arrive.

that is exciting. i would love to see pics of the GBTA from Reef Hot Spot........

next time if you can have them send your order to FedEx holding Facility, which arrive at 9AM, then you would be way ahead of acclimation and by noon the animals are already sitting in your tank. I used to have them deliver to home or office but that is crazy, now i only have them deliver to holding facility.

There is a high probability that tangs will come down with ich. I would QT them with copper (cupramine or seacure) from the very beginning.

Here are the pictures...I will post more once I put them in the tank...

The GBTA I bought from Reef Hot Spot was form the WYSIWYG but I doesn't look like the picture they had on the website. The last picture is the one they had on the website

Everything looks pretty good. But, what sized tank? Is this for your 65 your mentioned in another thread?

give the GBTA sometime to color up. I once ordered a so called nice green BTA on Ebay, when i recieved it, i was so angry it was just an ugly brown with a light tint of green. But after weeks, it's now very nice looking and i am happy with it (can post pic if you want). I doubt Bluezoos misled you, but then i never deal with them so i can't say for certain. But please be patience. i learnt my lesson from my GBTA.

BTW, the tangs are beautifull.

After I put it in the tank it looked just like the picture from Reef Hot Spot. Now it has moved like 3 feet from where I placed it, it's behind the rocks.

Interesting that you did not get an answer to that question.

Very nice stuff, and good looking anemones too. The fish look really good too.:fish1:

I forgot to answer that question.... its for a 75 gallon..

Im having problems with the Purple tang... its fallowing the Yellow tang everywhere and attacking him.

Definitely no more tangs for you in a 75. The fighting would be worse if you put them in separately. Hope everyone makes it through happy and healthy. Btw, Vivid is a nice shop. We used to go there when we lived in SoCal a year ago.

Going to be blunt, you are going to continue to have issues with that purple tang. They are very aggressive fish, and when stocked with 2 other tangs in a small tank (( yes, for 3 tangs, a 75 is small, almost very small )) I don't see it getting any better.

I used to (( key word being "used" )) have a purple tang in my 75 -- it was the only tang in that tank --- and sold it for 2 reasons. It was getting too big for the tank, and more importantly, it was attacking my Clarkii pair almost daily. The male Clarkii was getting the worse of it, we the purple tang drawing blood more then once.

Besides the new arrivals what other fish do you have in that tank? And sorry but you are getting good advice about too many tangs in a 75 gal tank. Can you post a FTS when you get a chance. Good luck

Although Todd is likely correct, I had a strange experience with my Purple. For some damn reason, I though I could introduce a Djardini 2 years after my Purple Tang. Those fish beat the hell out of each other for a good month, and then all of a sudden they started acting like mated clowns! If you could judge them on behavior and not form you would have sworn they were a pair of bonding marroons. To this day they swim side by side up and down the tank. However, my tank is a 180, which I am sure made a huge difference.

Well, it all depends. I have a 120 (4 foot x 2foot). i have a good 3" purple tang that has been with me since it was the size of a nickle. recently i added a 2.5" yellow tang and hold my breath. sure enough the purple went on to "show" that he is the dominant one and harass the yellow. it does that on and off but not to the point that i would consider life threatening. then the agression become less and less each hour go by. byt 2 days, they dont care for each other. so i would consider myself very lcuky? my tank is "fully" stocked and packed with rocks and corals, very limited swimming space. worst yet, the reef floor is covered with fish death traps ~ 3 giant Haddoni carpets anemones. so far everyone is happy and alive.

They seem to be doing okay for now... I know the tank is not big enough for three tangs but I just wanted to give it a try.

Pinkskunk could you put a picture of your tank.. I would love to see it.

here you go........

Left side of tank with 2 carpets. red is muchh larger but now not fully opened.
