great surprise to get a text and have him waiting for me down south.

Very nice! Any idea how large?

Also, when are you getting him?

5" I am told. He is at my house right now in the QT. Won't be back in FL until Wednesday night... can't wait to see this.

Hopefully he will look like this soon

I've never personally owned a chrys before but from what I've read & spoke to others with they are a very hardy fish but like most pomacanthus they get real big & aggressive as they mature which won't be a problem with the private ocean your planning on building.
Just make sure you treat for flukes!!

Thanks. The more I look at picture of full grown Chrysurus the more I think they are one of the nicer angels.

They are my personal FAVORITE Angel! There really isn't much info or pics available though.

I've noticed. Also no good Youtube videos.. I guess no one has Chrysurus.. Is there anyone out there who does??? and pics please!

Also, I was told that during a feeding this morning my clown trigger bit half of my Vlamingi's tail fin off.. OUCH.. apparently he is fine but I hope it grows back fully. I will post pics when I get back to Florida.

I've had mine for a few months now. He's still a juvie though, the yellow tail is barely starting to show.

Yeah, I had a clown trigger once. It was tiny, like 1/" when I got it. the LFS said, "Oh, if you get it small, and it grows up with the other fish, there won't be any problems". It grew rather quickly, then at around 1 1/2" it bit the head off my eel and cut my butterfly in half. Back to the store it went! Definitely not a community fish!

I've had mine since 1 1/2" and now hes 7"... I have never had a problem with him, he still runs from the cleaning pad.... He has plenty to eat which keeps the aggression down but I REALLY hope that tail bite was a accident and not a planned attack!
