i have 5 50 cent piece sized fish infected with cryptocaryon irritans. a tomato clown, 2 damzels, a flame hawk and flameback angel. a med size sand sifting star. 5 turbos, 5 hermits and a coco worm.

i have a 30 gallon with a with hob filter and hob protein skimmer ill be using as a qt tank.

im waiting on my ordered refractometer calibrating solution. this is my first hyposalinity treatment attempt.

has anybody had bad experiences with these types of fish when attempting hyposalinity treatment?

Those fish should have no problem with hypo. You can start to lower the salinity now and fine tune when your refractometer comes in.

great idea im going to start lowering the salinity pronto.

You don't want to have inverts, live rock, or macro in your hypo QT.
