Ok what the heck is Wall Coral? I see Hammer Coral for sale, and Hammer Wall Coral. Bubble Coral and Wall Bubble Coral. What's the difference? I tried google but it just brought up pictures of coral to hang on a wall.

Some euphyllia corals have branching & wall types. The wall corals form a solid wall when growing, while the branching ones spread like tree branches.

Walling corals generally have a higher mortality rate.

I don't understand why you would say that, there is no evidence to show that. If you have some scientific evidence of that we would like to see it. I have a wall hammer that I have fragged numerous times over the years, and people that I have sold it to have said that it's doing great.

Experience rather then scientific.. When you frag a wall you cut right into the flesh.. So yes there's a higher mortality rate then branching corals.. It also depends on how you treat your coral but the mortality is higher in walling corals.

I agree, infections spread through the whole coral more readily with wall corals, ime. Fragging them is more risky too.
