Wall Hammer brown jely?

Hi,
I am a bit worried about this hammer, the problem has started in the middle and slowly it is spreading, not sure if it is brown jelly but here are some pics:

If you have a band saw or access to one I would cut that section out.

I have had brown jelly twice from LFS frags on torches and it will not stop spreading.
