Walling hammer frag

I picked up this frag yesterday from lfs, it's currently on the bottom of the tank getting used to lights etc. My question is which way should I attach it to the rock in a day or 2? I'm assuming it can go side on so its long side is against the rock? Bit of help would be appreciated.

They are OK on the sand bed or rock.
