Walt Smith Dry Rock

I am almost done with my aqua scapping on my new tank and wanted to see if anyone has used the Walt Smith dry rock. I have plenty of live rock from previous tank and new tank is set up and running with mostly SPS and a few LPS corals. I want to add a few more pieces to get the look and I am trying to achieve without the concern of unwanted hitch hikers. I like the look of the Walt Smith rock but not sure if they need to be cured or are they reef ready. Has anyone used this rock and if so, what's your experience.

I used it in a recent bar tank build - 10g. Awesome rock and didn't rinse or anything. Just did daily WCs from my main system every day for the first 6 weeks.

Anyone else? I want add just a few pieces to and established tank. I am going call a vender and ask if it needs curing or just a good bath and rinse

I know mine came a bit dusty, I'd suggest at least a good rinse.

I've never used it so this is a guess.

Since it's never been exposed to organics there is nothing to die off and I can't imagine it leaching PO4. Based on that I can't see how it could cause a mini cycle of any kind since there is plenty of mature cured rock in there already to handle the bio filtration.

This is the reply I got from a vendor on the Walt Smith dry rock.....The Walt Smith Project Rock can be added directly into an existing system without any curing (so long as you aren't removing all of the existing rock in the system). Since it is man made rock it is very clean and doesn't have any extra organic matter to remove through curing
I will post updates when I receive mine, I will be giving it a try.

I have a 55lb box in my basement waiting for my build. Looks good, and there is no organics on it.

The only prep I have planned is a rinse.
