hi all , im geting ready up set of a 75 gallon reef. any help on how much salt im gonna need for it . im just looking for the fastest way to get it started.i had a smaller tank before and i did it with 5 gallon buckets.just wondering if anyone has a measurement for the salt

For Instant Ocean, I believe its 1.5# of salt for every 5 gallons for water. Just look at the salt package for the correct measurement based on how you're mixing your water. OR, some LFSs sell already mixed salt water...I know Pet Supplies+ on McKnight does. I think its .65 per gallon. That would be even faster.

I use instant ocean and I have a 1/2 cup measuring cup that lives in the bucket. I use 1 heaping scoop per gal.

first off fast and easy is the wrong way about it nothing in this hobby is fast or easy except death to your inhabitants...the simpleest way to get started is psp they do have premixed salt water. only problem with that is 75 gals of water from them would be a little rough unless you have a pick up truck...If your tank is empty right now my suggestion would be to fill it with water pour the salt into the tank with a couple powerheads and wait a day or 2 until it clears up...check the salinity see if its where you want it to be then add or cut back to where you need to be. Then get 2 new garbage cans from home depot and drain the tank you could just use the garbage cans from the get go if you prefer your choice then just set up your tank...
