I dont know about all the stores, but I know that target has LED christmas lights that work great for this. Both in white and blue. After xmas they go on clearance and can be had for VERY cheap. Just a reminder!!!

Keep circling. I found them as late as mid jan last year. But also check out other stores too. All you are looking for is the LED lights in either white or blue depending on your preference. I am sure walmart, walgreens, target, biglots and pretty much every other place on earth was selling them. I like target best because when they put stuff on clearance its really ON CLEARANCE! I got 2 black and decker 5 piece 18v cordless drill sets from target several months ago on clearance..normal price $160, clearance price $40..now thats a deal!

Dude, I'm positive. It says right on the box C6 LED. I could hardly believe it myself.

I saw a whole bunch of white 35 light sets today at Home Depot on 192 in Kissimmee for $4.

Yeah I did this on my tank with 35 blue LED's and drilled holes in a board and mounted them inside my canopy. Looked awesome!

oh, and keep an eye out for the "remote control" switched power strip things. They are originally to turn on your lights on your house without having to go outside, but they can be used to turn on a pump or whatever while doing remote water changes. SITC was using a version of this after I showed them to marcye.
