Complete Orchid Growers Set Up

I would like to get rid of my 2 - 75 gallon tanks and just have one larger tank...

I would like a RR acrylic tank 125 gallons or better and stand(no canopy needed)...if it's not too badly scratched I can buff it out.

I am willing to trade a complete orchid growers set up. I have been growing orchids in my basement for years and always have some in various stages of flowering. I bring them upstairs to enjoy their blooms and they go back to the grow stands when done.

2 large homemade grow stands (made out of PVC) they break down for easy moving or can be glued (I never bothered). The height of the PVC can be adjusted to the size of your plant.

8 double grow lights, T-12's, new bulbs last month, lights are on chains - adjustable.

34 orchid plants of various sizes...all of them raised by me from slips..many rare and unusual colors. Types include: cattleya, vandas, brassia, dendrobium and more. Pots are labeled as to type and color.

Also included 100 Orchids for the American Gardener by Elvin McDonald and any and all supplies I have for the hobby, extra pots, hangers, potting medium, fertilizers, clips, bulbs, timers, power strips etc.

Thanks, pufferpunk...I have some of those blue shrooms you liked set on the side for you...let me know the next time you'll be near Midway...Nina

I have a used 150 (50"x20" x36 tall) sitting here that I would like to get rid of. unfortunately I dont have the time nor desire for an orchid hobby.

The tank is an acrylic RR, and it will need a little buffing. I am welling to sell it at a cheap price just to get rid of it. Its a little tall for a reef, but if youre interested... I could probably deliver it if the timing is right. Let me know if your interested in purchasing instead of trading, and I am sure that we can work something out

Rod, thanks for the offer, but I'm looking for a larger "footprint" rather than height. Sounds like it would be a perfect FOWLR but I'm trying to consolidate not expand....thanks though

I completely understand. Its not a great reef tank. Its not even a good reef tank. I got it from a customer that was taken advantage of by another vendor that told him it would make a nice reef. That customer wanted it out of his garage. Now I would like it out of my shop. :)

Good luck in your search and if you hear of anyone looking for a DFO or a sea horse tank.. :)
