Want to dim my Wavepoint LED light

I have two Wavepoint blue LED lights over my 5 gallon Fluval Spec V. It makes my tank intensely blue which is nice but I want to dim them a bit as I think it might be too bright. If I use just one light, it doesn't cover the entire tank with light so I like using both lights.

So I bought those inexpensive in line dimmers with a knob that you turn to dim LEDs. But for some reason these don't work with the Wavepoints. The dimmer has no effect on the lights. The light goes on full intensity and stays there even if I turn the dimmer to off. I bought 4 dimmers and tried them all. I use this type of dimmer on all my other LED lights and it works on them. I tested these dimmers on my other LED lights and it works fine.

So these Wavepoints are obviously designed differently and may not be dimmable? Any ideas for another way to dim these lights? I'm thinking trying a lower voltage?

That is odd.. Most of these cheap lights can be dimmed w/ those cheap PWM dimmers..

Power supply is like 9.6V 2A??

It's 24 volt 300mA.

sounds like a constant current driver more than a power supply..
@300mA is sort of the tell..

Then it is possible to skip the "driver' all together and use your own..
24v ps and an 300mA(well actually your choice) ldd driver of course you also need a controller then..
More work than it is worth I think

Odd thing, zoom on these pictures it shows 15V.. ;)

Should be like a 1Ohm resistor on there somewhere..but again, then should be dimmable..

Then again maybe not.. You can run 8 1w diodes in series @300mA relatively easy but should be dimmable..if run at constant voltage..
I'm lost.. ;)
